Tieto will produce centralised e-mail, collaboration and directory services for Cargotec in the next three years. The solutions for the entire group will serve over 8 000 users. The latest communication solutions aim at cost-effectiveness and better availability.
In the unified communication and collaboration solution, e-mail services, integrated telephone systems, collaboration services and company portals together enable real-time connections and efficient information sharing. Project personnel around the world can work together in virtual offices without having to travel.
"The unified communications services enable us to introduce new, consistent team work methods in the entire group. Enhancing availability cost-effectively together with the versatile collaboration tools creates a good basis for innovative work methods," says IT Manager Jouni Forsman from Cargotec.
Mikko Pulkkinen, Head of Manufacturing Industry in Tieto Finland says that the deal is a significant addition to the key customer relationship between Cargotec and Tieto.
